I have posted comments, but I haven't bashed anyone. One thing to remember is that according to the faq pages that Patrice wrote, the PDA's are supposed to disappear and you will have to blog. I am not on QB as much as I used to be because I am trying to get things finished, so things could have changed.

I have been fustrated like everyone here. I have been able to get around but not as easily as before. My biggest complaint is that I can't upload my pictures. More complicated. Don't have the screens that are required.

I use to enjoy my cup of coffee in the mornings while on this site. This site was the highlight of my morning! Not anymore. I'm on here less and less. There's nothing wrong with change. I have grown with change. But there are alot of us that aren't computer savy. And it's harder to use not easier. I can't blame members for leaving. I will too at some point. Very sad.

    alapetitechaise--
I am not sure about this but I think when you log in you can check "remember me" or something to that affect next to where you are logging in, and that should take care of you always having to sign in. I think it is also the reason you are not seeing anyones avatar. I had to remember to check remember me and I don't have to sign in each time anymore.

I know that change is hard but I will say this: You all are great encouragers when it comes to a newbie when she/he is asking questions and feeling frusrated. Ya'll didn't learn to quilt in a day-- I promise, if you can quilt you can learn to use a new message board.

I will crawl back to my lurking stage now.

I think Sisie0808 has a good point. From the very beginning of computers, wasn 't the selling point the idea that they were going to make everything easier? This new QB could with a very few changes be much easier. ALL of the old names did not need changing. The order on the 'index' could have remained the same, etc. I realize internal changes had to be made, but it is the external changes we are all complaining about. The new and improved look could have not been so new or so different. This new look reminds me of Ford's Edsel. It was actually a great engineered car. It preformed well. It certainly looked new and different. It bombed.

I'm actually use to this format. I used to be an administrator on a site that used this format. I like it so far.

I would like to know how to get email notifications again, other than when I get a private message. I also would like to know how to change the title of my journal thread too...

You can set your computer to receive emails for any thread you post to, but I only want email notifications for certain threads, so
    1. I click on Thread Tools above the first post
    2. Choose Subscribe to this Thread on the dropdown menu
    3. Notification Type I choose Instant notification by email
    4. then Add Subscription.

If you want emails for any thread you post to:
    1. Settings at top of page
    2. General Settings (left side under My Account
    3. go to Messaging & Notification
    4. click on Default Thread Subscription
    5.Choose Instantly through email
    6. Save Changes at bottom of page

Ditto on the morning coffee...I'm trying a bit each day to figure this site out...Took me an hr to find how to post photo's...Maybe I can help you...
When you want to post a photo "Go Advance"...write whatever comments...go down to "Manage Attachments"...Click on that...should look like old site...Brouse find your photo and open...upload....Now of course, if you have the problem I had your getting "upload not successful"...It took me abt an hr to find out I had to reduce the size of the photo and another hr on my computer and photo software to figure out how to reduce....Such fun...Where's the old site.
Anyway...Go into your picture from your computer not the site. Hope yours is the same...I right click on the photo and selected "Save As"...you should then see somewhere "full size" in a block with arrow...left click on arrow and diff sizes show...I used 25 percent which is fine for the site. Click on that "Save" and close...Now go back to the site and repeat the above.

Once you upload the photo you'll see it the file name pop up on that broze screen...close screen and you'll now see it on the screen with your comment...post your comment....Hope this works for you...

I miss the members who don't post anymore. Maybe they are just reading the threads and not commenting, but it looks like we have a lot of new quilters, and a lot of the old ones are missing. I have to admit that I don't spend as much time on here like I use to. It seems like so much more work to get to the recent posts, and when I get there, I have pretty much lost interest in reading anything.
