Deb, it looks like each Dresden starts out at 4" is this correct? Also, my Dresden ruler makes 20 petals to go around not 16, should I switch to the paper template?

click on this link
http://quilterscache.com/D/DresdenPlateBlock.html

and use that template for the blades. The ruler does 20 blocks, this swap is using 16 blades. SharonB - one of our Moderators in this swap did the 20 blades, and she was frustrated beyond belief....but she figured it out and her blocks are just great! I think the link to the page is at the beginning of this thread. Again, thanks for joining....sure is appreciated!

I ended up with a plexiglass template also. The template from the site just seemed off a little to me. And the second set just went together like a breeze--at least compared to the first, although a few centers had to be redone. Now I feel confident enough to take apart the 1930's blocks I inherited, recut the blades where needed, and put them back together to lie flat. Deb, how are we doing? I'm tired of flakes, but might have a poinsettia in me.

Kris, if you want to do a pointsettia, HAVE AT IT!!! I am doing two sets, but sure could use another. I am a little surprised that we only had two more join in the swap. I guess this time of year is just too hectic with all that we need to do. This is going to be a tight swap. But it will work out.

Yes, Anna, they came in the mail! One set of each, and they are just beautiful. Thanks so much for participating.

And I received flakes from LindaK! Nice thing about these flakes is that I don't have to shovel. Oh, and Patrice was able to find and copy the original roster for this swap, and she is sending me the names. I WILL be contacting them!
