    Default Tortilla warmer

A friend and I had a pattern to make a tortilla warmer and thought it would be a great gift with salsa etc. The pattern had 4 circles and 2 half circles and we can't figure out how to make it work. I am looking at them online and they look like the round version of the potato baker. If I do just 2 circles (each layered with warm tater batting) and sew around and turn right side out and then sew the 2 of them together half way so there is an opening to put the tortilla in, would that work? What would the 2 half circles be for? Thankf for your help.

Yes, it would work. Just be sure to use all cotton batting and thread - is a must for using in the microwave.

I think the 2 circles are sewn together with the batting and that makes the bottom half. The 2 half circles are overlapped and used as the top piece...that way you can tuck the tortillas inside and it still holds in the warmth. Kinda like you do on the back side of a pillow where you can pull the pillowform out and wash the pillow cover...the back side of it is in the shape of a square, but it's two overlapping pieces so the pillow stays secure inside, but allows for it also to be pulled out.

Im sure i didn't explain that real well.

    Thanks barb,
That's what I am thinking too, I just need to play more to figure it out. None of the patterns I have seen are real clear (or maybe it's me who just doesn't get it)

Here is a link that I found online that seems to be a great pattern for a tortilla cozy.
