He's so handsome I don't dare show him to my girls(hens).
I am having so much fun watching as these blocks take shape. I so wanted to get involved in this round. So, I will linger in this space looking, watching, and waiting. All of the blocks thus far are extraordinary. Keep up the good work ladies and enjoy!

Beautiful rooster.....! Wish I could get my hands on him. But you are not in my group....woe is me.

I do have a general question...if I may. How do people feel about machine applique vs hand applique? in general. As I was thinking about everyones centers and thinking different borders ideas.....it just occurred to me that I should ask.

Tabby, I don't think anyone minds. We all do what we are able to do, and if that is machine applique, when why not? I think there will be centres done both ways by the time they are all done.

Omak, I am so pleased you are doing another happy dance, and even more pleased, as I will get to see this (or at least, one of yours) as I am in group three too.

And K, as for that Rooster, he is so colourful, - what you might call cock of the roost! Sadly, he won't be coming my way, but I will look for pics as the rounds progress.

Love the rooster-beautiful colors! Great job.
Here is the second center...I think this will be the one I am going to do. I am going to put stars down the sides of the horse and then the bottom will start with a star and end with the word west...

You may do any type of applique you choose on your rounds. Sometimes I do machine, sometimes I do it by hand. It depends on the "look" I am trying to achieve (and how my hand feels since I have carpal tunnel)... As long as YOU are comfortable with the technique and do the best job that you can...it is perfectly acceptable and will be loved by the owner of the center. Don't worry..just have a go and have fun!
