I use mine to hold my safety pins in when they are not in a quilt.

I used them as pencil/scissors holders on my 1st graders desks. Ask a local elementary school. They may find a use for them.

OK!! I was picking up a few ingredients for the finishing touches on Christmas Baking. Fudge??? Two ingredients?? Go, run, to Nancys Kitchen - and it is unbeliveable. No stirring for hours over a hot stove and I can't wait to try different flavors and combinations. Have no fear - it is wonderful, sinful, and so easy. I used milk choc. frosting with choc. chips. Can't wait to hear the ooohhhhs and aaahhhhhs!!

I am trying the fudge too for Christmas presents to my neighbors. I'm sure the containers could be used for anything needing a sealing lid. I like the traveling sewing kit, or traveling first aid kit ideas. They could hold dice and other small pieces for board games after the box is kaput.

Okay, you guys have convinced me to try the fudge. If I don't like it, I know a certain teenage boy that will probably inhale it!

I like the idea of the traveling sewing kit and first aid kit. The site also has some great ideas. Thanks for sharing the ideas and the recipe!

Could use to start your seeds growing until big enough to plant in garden.

could you cut a strip of felt, to circle the inside of the container, make a few pockets by folding it up almost in half from the bottom and stitch, (for scissors, small seam ripper, and other small tools). then make a yo-yo shaped pin cushion and fasten it to the INSIDE of the container LID. put a spool of thread in the center and off you go to sew. in my head that would work, in reality i don't really know, i might just have to try it. just thinking out loud here. --it would be even better if you could hinge the lid to the bottom so it stayed more like one piece.

Wrap them in a pretty fabric, punch a hole in the bottom, plant a small plant or even a seed in them and use them as a small gift in a couple of months.
