Later this month I will scour the mark down mark down displays. I look for children's clothes especially. These I store for next years "adopt a family" program. Last year I found children's jackets for less than $3. That's 90% off plus my Senior discount!

First time in years did not shop after Christmas sales. The before Christmas sales were great!! I buy throughout the year (on sales, clearance, thrift store, Ebay) and store in one area(gift closet in a spare bedroom on the floor and shelves and under that bed). I forget what I have by November, some years, too much, other years not enough so I have to shop.

I went shopping yesterday (the day after Christmas). I found very few good sales. Joanne's had Christmas ornaments at 70% off, but I didn't need any.

Can't face the returns. Will go out later in week o right after New Years but will be for looking for bath items for me. Changed my bath to grape and beige colors so need to find grape color accesssories. I hate to buy Chritmas gifts a year ahead. My grandchildren make lists and they may change completely by next year.

I usually hit up the sales but hadn't planned on it this year. I still have tons of wrapping paper, boxes, etc - enough for next year for sure. But surprisingly, my dh wanted to go. So we went to the local outlet mall where they have a tool store. He found some tools he wanted on sale. I hopped into the Vanity Fair store. I ended up with 2 pair of wrangler jeans, 6 pairs of socks and a cutesy plaid print bra for the grand total of $21. I was happy! I could not belive how slow business was. It wasn't busy at all. I usually start watching for deals for Christmas presents right after Christmas, so I'll still be looking and making plans for gifts I want to make. I have a big rubbermaid tote that I use to store things as I buy them so I know where they are. When the kids were young, I'd hide things in different places and every now and then we'd discover gifts after the holidays. LOL. The tote is much easier for me.

I need to find some plastic ornaments. Hubby is off tomorrow and we will go see what's left. I didn't realize ours had dwindled down to none. We have little ones 4, 2, and 1. There is no way I would put on glass ornaments so this year we had candy canes.

I'm with you. I don't need to shop that badly. I am already planning what gifts I'm making for everyone from my stash. I don't plan on spending much this year anywhere. Tired to the teeth of all the consumerism out there.....2012 is the year of homemade........food, doll's clothing, quilted items from stash.
