I got a "new-to-me" Bernina 1230 sewing machine from E-bay. Decided I would treat myself this year as my present Bernina 1120 has more than paid for itself in the last 30+ years. Learned to free motion quilt a few months ago and now can hardly await the arrival of my new purchase. Sure hope it does not dissapoint.

My first Bernina was a 1230 , then 3 years later traded up to 1530 but really loved the 1230. you will be happy with it.
Santa brought me a new Singer Stylist Serger and how to books and some yarn and learn to knit and crochet books ...like I needed a new hobby with so many UFO's and free quilting patterns I troll for daily on here and an already endless quilts to do list!
Have a healthy happy new year to all here on the quilting board

My sweet hubby gave me a new Babylock Ellisimo Gold sewing/embroidery machine. I attended a 2 day Evy Hawkins event that my dealer put on last month. He made sure that I was seated at an Ellisimo Gold for the whole 2 days. He knew what he was doing. LOL. I fell in love with it. My hubby arranged to buy one at the end of the seminar. It sews like a dream. I love the way the presser foot raises automatically when using the quilting function. The thread cutter is wonderful. The older I get the more I appreciate the automatic needle threader. It was the best Christmas gift I have ever received, but it doesn't compare to the wonderful gift that Miriam received. Congratulations on that sweet new grandbaby, Miriam!

Default Great tag line

Just had to tell you I love your quote at the end of your emails. Very funny, and SOOOOO true!

I mentioned earlier I got a nice gift card to a favorite fabric store from my dh for Christmas, but I want to show you what my friends gave me as well! A vintage button basket, a singer sewing tin from a dear neighbor friend. My dear quilting friend got into her stash and picked out pieces of fabric she knew she would never use and that are pieces I would use and bundled up with a nice ribbon for me for a Christmas gift. I thought that was so thoughty of her.
