Uh, excuse me. Can I butt in here for a minute? I was raised being cuddled and hugged and warmed by quilts made by both grandmothers and a great-grandmother - so believe me when I say the crinkles are suppose to be there. That's where all the hugs and love are stored!

It is a beautiful quilt. I do not wash my quilts until it is needed because I love the look of the more starched look. I know a lot of people will not use the quilt until it is washed. Many wash it just to get that "wrinkled" antique look. Whatever works for you, I say.
