    Default Cantonese Dinner

I found this recipe in little booklet of recipes that came with my crockpot years ago. I tried it and loved it. I thought I would share.

    Cantonese Dinner

1 1/2 lbs. pork steak, 1/2 inch thick, cut into strips
    2 T. oil
1 large onion, sliced, 1 small green pepper, cut into strips
1 (4 oz) can mushrooms, drained
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
    3 T. brown sugar
    1 1/2 T. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce

Brown pork strips in oil in a skillet to remove excess fat. Drain on double paper towels. Place pork strips and all remaining ingredients into a crockpot or slow simmering saucepan. Cover and cook on low for several hours (4-6) Serve over hot fluffy rice.

This sounds really good. I think I would try it with steak and chicken, we don't eat much pork. Thanks for sharing, might make this on the weekend.

Thank you #1PieceMaker! ... I spotted this recipe back when you posted and finally made it today.
    Absolutely Delicious!

... I added both red and green peppers chunks, used fresh mushrooms (instead of the canned), sliced carrots and celery.

Only one problem ... it was so good, it was hard to stop eating it!
