Thats what I did. The biggest bedroom is my sewing room.
I only sleep in the bedroom so why do you need a big room.
My middle bedroom is now my sleeping room.
But the master is still to small and have my longarm in the dinning area.

We have a large (20x30) living room that we NEVER used. It is now my studio with a long arm, sewing table, cubbies for yarn, shelves for papercrafting supplies, a huge cutting table, a round crafting table and a sitting area to do hand work and read. Oh yes, it also has a wood buring fireplace! I am in heaven.

Moral of the story is...use that master bedroom for a studio, you will never regret it!

I live alone in a small 1 bedroom apt; I was whining one day about my quilting/knitting stuff everywhere.....my youngest daughter, said "so?"...IT IS your place and you can live with it like you want to ! So There; IT IS your space and if you want to re arrange it, go for it. What absolutely amazes me is that my bedroom is clutter free from quilting and knitting stuff; probably because I'm fortunate enough to have a "sunroom" adjacent to my bedroom and there is where I keep all my stash, ironing board, cutting table, etc; and then I sew on the dining room table; which is actually in my living room, but that way I can see the "big" tv and keep an eye on whatever I might be cooking.

It sounds like a grand plan to me. If you are comfortable with it, do it!

Who says a "bedroom" has to have a bed in it? Rooms in a house are like recipes and patterns to me-a basic guideline to one's creativity. Go for it.

Make the best of a great idea. Go for it. And then enjoy! You can always sleep on the couch if necessary so you can quilt in the best spot!
