Such a great idea!! I think it would be much easier to make a 4 or 6 " block as you have the scraps or the time, and just stash them until you have enough for a larger block. Thanks for the idea!

Yes! That's exactly what I did! The little blocks finish at 3.25" and I just make a few while dinner cooks, add to the stash and next day count 9 out to sew tog (so they don't pile up too high). This way a few blocks of this quilt and a few blocks of that quilt and a few blocks of another quilt adds up to an interesting day of sewing! I like to work on 5 scrap quilts at the same time. It breaks the monotony of doing one at a time. It keeps you from getting overwhelmed at the number of blocks you need! A few here and a few there soon add up! I don't pay any attn. to what I need to do; I just keep sewing in between other tasks. It all gets done and is fun this way for me! Yes, Ginger, I've been working on this little by little since October! So glad you love this idea!
This quilt is absolute proof of two theories.
1. If you don't like the fabric, you haven't cut it small enough.
2. Everything goes in a true scrap quilt.
You are AMAZING!
