    Default Rice Krispie Treats

Does anyone have the recipe for this? The back of my box no longer has it. I want to make them for Grandkids who are coming today.

Sorry--I hit the wrong key! Anyway, the recipe is: 3 tablespoons butter/margerine, 10 oz marshmallows, and 6 cups Rice Krispies. (it says you can substitute a 7 oz jar marshmallow cream for the solid ones if you want) Melt the butter, stir in the marshmallows til smooth, add the cereal, and spread in a 9 x 13 buttered pan. Have fun with the grandkids!

Add some choc. chips or M&Ms. Something to give it flavor.

I just made some last night!

    My recipe says

    4 cups mini marshmallows
    5 cups Rice Krispies....

That's how I make mine, too! lol

I found a variation that my husband just can't get enough of - instead of butter and marshmallows, use 1 cup butterscotch morsels and 1/2 cup peanut butter. Melt both together and stir in the cereal. Yummy!

Hmm.. good idea. Maybe I'll make some of those too. We added peanut butter the last time I made them. Yum. But I still prefer them plain. I remember years ago, my grandmother said that someday, I won't like things as sweet as I like them now. I thought, yeah,,,surrrre... Unfortunately, it became true. I can't even take chocolate any more in Rice Krispie treats.
