You're right, don't wait until you have ton, then you hit burn out after a few days. What I find works best for me is to sew pieces together as I accumulate them. I use them as leaders and enders between my other projects. Just sew pieces together until you can cut out the size square you want to use. Just set them aside as they are completed and then one day you'll be surprised to see you have enough for a quilt.

As you can see from my pics, I can't bear to throw the tiniest scrap away!! You too???? Well, you'll love this quilt that I started in November where I made 9P blocks of the crumbs and tried to disguise the seams so it looks like one block was done instead of 9 squares.
