Karen, where have you been? We have missed you. In fact I sent you a PM a few weeks ago and never got an answer. Are you OK? Is everything alright?

I would be sure to find a similar fabric and test it first before doing the scarf. I have never done this fabric before, but know there are so many different stabilizers out there. I would try the sticky one. I have used it on terry towels and works great. Nancy's Notions and emblibrary have info on their sites.

I have a #1+ Viking that is over 20 years old but just recently bought another embroidery unit for it so i'm ready to try again. Also just got some customizing and digitizing software with a reader/writer box. It's really old technology and only does 4x4 but it's all I can afford right now. I wanted to do monograming for my purses so that was one reason for the purchase.

Do you always wash your fabric first??? I have not been doing that I have embroidered some blocks for a quilt but did not do it thru the batting and backing just the top block intend on putting them in a quilt at some time in the future. I also make my labels for the quilts I make. I have a husqvarna viking topaz 30 it is a new machine I got about 4 months ago.

Guess I'll join you guys! I have a Bernina Bernette Deco 600 and a 650, a Brother Innovis 4000D, and this weekend I purchased a Babylock 6 thread embroidery machine.

Hi! I have a Babylock Esante. Traded in my Ellure Plus for this machine (a classroom model) last August. When I first got the machine had trouble with the needle threader - it fell off, they fixed it, and then it fell off again. They have had it since. The repairman has had difficulties and not fixing machines. The LQS where I bought the machine gave me a different Esante classroom machine to use while mine was in the shop. This one had an issue tonight when I was sewing. With the needle threader again - somehow swung out and got caught in the thread and moved the needle. Now the tension is messed up. Anyone else have trouble with this machine? I am thinking of working out a deal for a different machine. Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Pfaff Creative Vision 5.5.. It is a bit over 2 years old now and still has less than a hundred hours on the machine. I have had such a time these past 2 years that I've had no time to sit down and sew. Then the tornado came though Joplin and destroyed most everything.. I have my machine, but when I sat down to make a simple thing the other day I couldn't remember how to even begin.. Really upset me. I'm not sure when, but I am determined to get back to learning how to use my beautiful machine. Maybe this will help me get to it quicker! :-)
