A week or so ago some one was asking for infor and reviews of the Accuquilt. There were a few people that said they liked another machine better. I, of course can't remember what it was called. I found the web site then but did not bookmark, so need some help remembering. wow those senior oments are coming more often...thanks in advance

I have both and use them. The Alto cost more then the Go but there is nothing you need to buy for it later. The Go you will want to buy dies and you need the die cutting mats. Each do a different job. With the Go I can cut on four blocks of a double wedding ring at one time and other blocks and shapes the Alto won't. For strips and straight cut shapes the Alto works great.

Yep, the Alto's QuiltCut2. It isn't a machine but rather a surface with a cutting mat and a guide that goes either horizontally or vertically ... or even at angles. There is a measuring attachments so that you have consistency in cutting.

It is a one time purchase. No need to buy extra dies or order something special. you don't have to crank it. It holds the material while you cut.

I've had mine for years and love it. I wouldn't still be quilting without it. One of my friends actually winces when I try to cut with a rotary cutter and a ruler as I am so slow and a bit awkward ... thanks to the arthritis.

I have both too.. I use the go more often than the Alto and IMHO the Alto is just a cutting mat with guides and you use your own rotary cutter.. The go you buy the dies you like/want. and the mats are basically disposable so they need to be replaced depending on how often and how much you abuse them.. I have back up mats for my back up mats, just in case..
