Ruth, I love it, but if you want the honest truth I like the bottom fabric on the first one instead of the deep blue.

Reminds me of a walk in a wood, its lovely.

Oh, Miss Ruth, you shouldn't do things like that <g>
I like the creek that you are thinking to change to - - at least, that is what it looks like to me!
Don't you know that if you give children a choice, they will ALWAYS make you do the second thing?

Reminds me of a family story. My mom, on our birthdays, would allow us to select a cake for her to make while we were at school. My brother, Jim, would always order an angel food cake.
Years later, we were all sitting around talking, and Jim mentioned that his favorite cake was Mom's chocolate cake with white frosting (to heck with the cake - - the frosting was WONDERFUL!) .... mother corrected him. "Your favorite is angel food." Nope, he liked her other kind of cake.
So, why, she asked, did you always order an angel food cake for your birthday???
Well, he said, I didn't want to put you to any trouble, so I ordered what I thought was the easiest thing to make!
My mother is a gracious woman <g>
For my younger readers, angel food cake IN THE OLD DAYS! LOL was made with a TON of whipping, egg whites. and boiling water, and I don't know what all and it MAY or may NOT turn out right. (as I remember it <g>). ( I have to admit that I have forgotten more about feeding my family than I ever knew).
One thing I can tell you is: It was NOT the easiest thing to make. Which is why we only had it ONE TIME A YEAR!!! LOL

Lesson learned: Do not give children a choice <g>.
I still like your block a lot, Miss Ruth <wave>

I really like the looks of both.....hmmmmmmmm. I believe I do like the new fabrics better - they seem to "tell the story" a little better.

That is what I said <g> ... the new fabric looks like the forest with flowers behind, a creek in front with riparian area showing. I just didn't make myself clear. Liking the new fabrics better PROVES that I was being objective, because blue is my really favorite color ... but the old colors doesn't tell the story as good as the new colors do.
