lol... Since I am unlikely to be hand quilting it, it's not a problem for ME either!! :lol: The LAQ might have a different opinion though.
The first round will need to be sewn to the double thickness but there are 1/4" seam lines on the foundation so that's a plus.

I know that I wondered about sewing a single layer of fabric as a border around the foundation pieced blocks, but it wasn't an issue.
How clever of you to use something you had already been working with.
I am now making my THIRD mystery quilt and get yet another idea of something to do with it - - don't know how many I will make before I am finally satisfied with all my options.

Here is my center...finished it last night...now I have to move on to another project that I actually sold. :roll: This center is really different from the 2 that I used for the last IRR..I can't wait to see what gets added to this one. DH said this one is his "since its all my colors"... :roll: OK..OK...maybe I'll consider it.. :wink:

Sorry I have been absent. I finally returned to work this week after being out for 5 weeks from my surgery. I love all of the centers that have been posted.
Tanny your star is beautiful and I am so glad I will get to work on it.
Sazu i sure hope that lighthouse is for group six-I can imagine so many wonderful borders for it as I am a huge fan of the sea! Plus I think you have more votes for it to be in group 6 lol
Here is the other center I did and this is definetly the one I am going to send out :-)
