Oh, I miss Ben Franklin stores. One of my favs as a kid, used to buy embroidery floss there. They are all gone from our area now.....Bummer...

I'd say you got a fantastic deal. I used to have a Ben Franklin near me, but they closed, which was too bad as if I needed a craft item they generally had it. Then I discovered one a bit further,however, now that we've moved, it's just too far away. Too bad too, as they always had decent fabric prices and good deals on flat pieces. I once found a heavyweight houndstooth fabric for $0.50/yd and it was 60 inches wide. Made fantastic aprons for the kitchen at church and they wore like iron. Congratulations on your great find and the fabric is gorgeous.

Congrats on your Great deal ... we only have 1 fabric store with in 50 miles and she is so expensive i go in for a couple little pieces and it ends up being 40 or 50 $'s I have to end up buying on ebay i bought a few pieces on here sure wish i had an old ben store here. I did not even know they were still in business any where. great buy

Man! These are gorgeous--and what a deal! I'm especially envious because I have been looking for red-and-whites to make a quilt for my DIL. Enjoy!!!
