OMG--WOW! Those are just beautiful. She should be so very proud of herself. What talent and patience.

Your Mom is a truly remarkable sewer and quilter. Her colour choices are awesome! Every quilt is beautiful, but the star quilt on the bed is more--it almost looks 3-D and the pineapple quilt--all I can say is WOW!

How wonderful to give her the gift of wanting to get up each morning! I bet she can't wait to do her next challenge now and is happier then ever. All her quilts are wonderful. KEEP GOING.

They are all so beautiful. I don't think I could pick a favorite.

Just incredible! Such a confident color sense and ambitious patterns! She must have been a real firecracker when she was younger! I really love that third one.

I just found this thread and had a good cry myself! I hope you both truly enjoy joining your creative juices together. Your mother has "the eye" for color and composition, she would have made a wonderful artist, or was she? May you both be blessed with many more productive years together. I just lost my "mom" at 95 yrs old, feisty, creative, gifted in several art mediums, reader of novels (faster than I could), loved a good discussion about politics, sports (football, tennis, golf, basketball) and an awesome caregiver. She watched C-Span and sports while she did her "creative thing."
