Your quilt is gorgeous! I love the white background as it gives the quilt such a wonderful clean feeling. I also love the bright fabrics! Makes me happy just looking at it.

Oh, this is just so colorful! I find myself strip piecing and run from making all of those individual squares, etc. but this looks well worth the effort. I could probably make 10 of these with all of my scraps. Just love it!

Seeing this beautiful top makes me wonder how anyone could question whether keeping scraps is a good idea.

all of you have been wonderfull- giving me such praise for my quilt- i have said this a few times now- but the question keeps coming up again---
it is called Prairie Skies- from September/October 2004 Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting magazine---someone here went to the web site to look it up & found the pattern is available as a down-load-
it takes 20 medium/dark fq's- 4 medium/light fq's and i think 4 light f 8ths----plus the background---i think the pattern called for 2 1/2 yds of a cream/tan batik- i used white on white scraps-
the largest piece is the strip pieces between the blocks which is 9 1/2" long i would love to see some of you use your scraps to make one too!
and as for all that (balance) you all keep mentioning---that was a totally good surprise---i did not lay it out & arrange/rearrange to get it 'balanced' i just built blocks- then started putting them together- the wonderful balance/scattering of colors is totally accidental.
