Gramma, I think you need to speed up the time tables on new quilts for those grandsons. Sounds like they love your quilts and it can't hurt to have them give you an idea of what they would like. I told my son I was making a small quilt for my DGD when my son suggested that instead of that, I should start on a twin size quilt. She's only 21 months, however, she's growing up fast, so I should speed up my time table as well. Guess I'll check out the quilt shops for asst. die cuts or I Spy fabrics. Have fun.

That's a great story. One of my grandson's (age 6) came to me and told me exactly what he wanted when I made him a quilt. I think it is so cute that they really care about our quilts.

Awww - if that doesn't tug at your heart & get you going on new quilts nothing will!! What a sweet story - looking forward to seeing the end results.

How sweet is that! Great motivation for sure. I cracked up at your initial thoughts though. LOL

Now, off to go look up what an I Spy quilt is.

I would be interested to see what they pick. It could be fun to put the I-spy fabric in one they pick. I love it when they get involved. They can be so much fun. I told my DGD that I would make a dollie quilt, and she could help me. She picked the fabric, and started making the 4 patches, then she decided that she like the pressing better, with my little travel iron. Then when I got the Dollie quilt done, she said Humm, Grandma, I would like it to fit around me. So guess what, I added another couple borders and now she has a quilt. They are pretty smart. You just have to love them and enjoy the ride.
