Trim to 10-1/2" square. I am assuming that one of the strips got a bit wider? If so, trim off the same strip on all four blocks. As the photo shows, when the blocks are sewn together you will have a perfect square from the 10-1/2" blocks, but it wond be won't be square if blocks are not the same size.

Marytodd -- is this a case of "the cat ate my homework?"
Dove, QuiltE, Prettip, Works4me and Foxflower, all are beautiful. Love them.
Fox, love what you did with your scraps and Jfifer, fantastic idea.
We are all such a talented bunch, aren't we, give ourselves a pat on the back!

The California Zephyr has picked up a few of us and is busy making daily trips back and forth. If it hasn't gotten to you yet it will. What a beautiful fun ride. Now serving Lime Cream pie and coffee in the club car.

There is also the train across Canada, right near the border, on my list
and the one from Los Angeles that travels a more southern route (66) to Chicago

but this Mystery Train is the best because it does not follow any tracks and picks us all up (J.K. Rowlings, style)

and the food is better, the beds more comfy,
and we could sew all night long

LOL that is for sure, Sunlite. I love to travel but I do miss my bed and my own pillow! But even tho' train food isn't the greatest, at least I don't have to cook it. LOL

You mentioned one of the trains I want to take some day, across Canada.
