    Default Patriot Star quilt

I made this quilt for the family of a friend who is about to deploy. He has three young kids and I thought they could use something to snuggle while their dad is gone. When I gave it to him I thought he was going to cry... he couldn't believe someone thought of his kids and he was thankful for the time I put into the gift. I was so shocked by his heartfelt appreciation and raw emotion. I am happy to know it will be well loved.

What a wonderful quilt from a wonderfully thoughtful friend! You were so sweet to do that! I know it will be hours of comfort to those little babies.

Makes me proud to be an American when someone cares so deeply for our own! How comforting for him to think that his little ones are being cared for back home here. Can't go wrong with a beautiful red-white n' blue with stars!Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
