Agree, there is no space in the workplace for this type of behavior. Temps are hired because they are needed for a specific amount of time. They are costly and need to be treated well so they will work at their max. This is a petty, money consuming, demeaning, mean thing that was done to you. Hope that this is truly a temp job. You do not want to work there.

It must really stink to be her!!!!
That was part of the conversation some of us had the next morning when we found the chair locked up.

Sorry someone did that to your chair.

Nope this is a reg office chair supplied by the company. I think they went through their storage units looking for any chair to put in this room. The first chair I sat on had broken wheels. Three of them.

This person does not have any medical issues (I do).

Pity the person who has to deal with this about 52 weeks of the year. Talk about possessive, small-minded pettiness. Obviously never got past the two year old mentality. Thank your lucky stars you are only a temp. Every day you work brings you one day closer to retirement. Hang in there and glad you can see the humor in it.

Gosh! I would just take it as a joke... Maybe she isn't even the one who did it, but somebody else did it for a joke? Of course, even if she did do that it's still a joke, something to be laughed at.. People are funny, aren't we!

Well at least it was that chair and not the "chair" in the ladies room that she padlocked!
