i have an idea that i would like to share with all that i gifted to 2 of my pals this month. i created them cd's of patterns for the quilts and crafts they noted they liked. one of my pals wanted ideas/inspiration/patterns for the many kids quilts she makes for charity and another of my pals was taking wearable art classes and loved making totes.

i had plenty of kids quilt patterns so i created a cd for my one pal with 50+ kiddie quilt patterns. she should have some ideas for at least a little while now. for my other pal i created her a cd with plenty of free tutorials/patterns for totes and wearable art giving her some hopefully new ideas.

creating these cd's was fun and easy and my pals indicated that they are enjoying them. in case your wondering, my 3rd pal indicated that she did not want patterns so i made her some wonderful postage stamp potholders instead.

Hmmm. Maybe instead of fruit trees I should get chickens.
Krystyna - FYI. Chickens do not make honey. But you CAN get chicken fabric and make potholders.

Wonderful potholders they are indeed!!! I am soooo NOT good with patterns....it would be such a waste on me. I make mine up as I go. I never have followed a pattern since I've been quilting.

PRAYERS big time sent for whoever it was with the breast cancer diag. I am a chrisrtian and the power of prayer is very important and meaningful. Many on this board send prayers and that is good to read about.

Teresa - I'm so sorry to hear of your breast cancer diagnosis. I play bunco with several survivors and all say that a positive attitude is crucial. So, as are many others here, I am praying for you, and hoping we will all be able to keep your spirits high!!!

Krystyna - A big congratulations to a well-deserved win for your scarf!!! And I can't wait to see the interview with Nancy... What are your thoughts on selling the pattern/instructions? Do you have an online presence/outlet/store for your creativity? What about your veils?

Havplenty, that is a wonderful idea and I've been meaning to do just that for eons. Maybe this weekend!

SharonAnne, there really isn't much of a pattern involved in making the scarves at all. I do have an online presence for my business but I really need to revamp it and branch out a bit. I'm thinking of investing in Marie Forleo's B-school but it's a lot of money. If you haven't seen her videos check them out on YouTube and take a peek at her website.
