Nice variation of colors. I like the idea of separating the strips into the three categories......Your son will just have to love this..... Did you use batting in it? And did you quilt it yourself? What backing did you use. I am asking a lot of questions as I also like to use up my scraps and make string quilts. I have used fleece, flannel and regular cotton for backing. I've done no batt and Thermore (very thin)and have sent them out for LA Meandering on the larger ones. I've done STD and bar tacking for the smaller ones......

We learned to make this block in a quilting class a couple of months ago. It is so versatile and eye-catching. Yours is really "handsome":>)
