Anyone ever considered couching something to your quilt, like ribbon or yarn? Might be fun to try.....would only worry about washing. Might try on a wall quilt.

I have quilted several baby quilts with my decorative stitches. The serpentine stitch is one of my favorites to use for machine quilting.

I am just finishing a table topper with some narrow borders and just read in a quilt magazine about using decorative stitches from sewing machine so I am going to break the quilt "law" and put decorative stitching in one of my narrow borders!

Hopefully, my comment will not be a repeat (I have not read all pages) but I use my serpentine stitch to cross-hatch most charity quilts. It works great, is fast and looks pretty on the back. I have also used it within borders.
