Sweet! What a lovely idea! Think I'll get started on quilts for my grandchildren as wedding gifts...years away!

Thank you all for your kind comments.
A couple of people, here and elsewhere, have asked the name of the pattern. To the best of my knowledge, it does not have one. I just took standard traditional pattern elements and played with them on my QuiltPro. I started this in about 2002 worked on it off and on for a couple of years then lost it in the bottom of a box buried WAAAAY in the back of the pile. This is one of several UFO's I decided to pull out and finish off this year. The block size is 13.5" (14" raw)

I got a quilt from my gg. She made it for me as a wedding gift when I was probably 4. I was the oldest of the great grandchildren, I don't think anyone else got one She passed away when I was six. I am now ready to have my own grandchildren and still cherish it!
