Great job, and such a cool and different idea (I do not think I have ever seen this before) esspecially for a quilt as you go since I do not have a long arm...I have not really attempted a real "quilted" type of quilt - thanks for sharing.

It's beautiful and so is your quilting. Handbag sounds like a perfect choice for this block.

Aloha -- beautiful job. It's easy to loose a sense of time here, and slow down and relax, no hustle-bustle of having to finish anything! And the time to reflect while doing hand work is a joy. Hope you enjoy your new tote bag -- it will get many complements by quilters everywhere.

That's so very pretty! Love it in the blue... I've seen many other colors and didn't care for them as much as this one. Can't wait to see your tote.

"Others are choosing to make pillows, but I figure, one can never have too many bags (or is that diamonds, or shoes)? "

I have a friend who says she never asks for diamonds because her husband told her that diamonds make her look fat.
    Love it!

Very nice, this is something on my "to do" list. I like your idea of keeping it a small project rather than a large quilt. Be sure to share your finished tote with us.
