yea, i just about fell off the floor when they said that they were taking out the fabric sections. Don't get me wrong i got tons of fabric at nearly next to nothing when they were decinding that factor. However, I am one that doesnt' sleep during normal hours and love to head to walmart late at night when i get an idea and get some quilting started!!!

My local walmart plans to do a remodel in a few weeks and are bringing back fabric. Was so excited as there is not one place in town to buy fabric. Have to drive at least an hour ONE WAY to buy fabric now.

We have fabric here too in Walmart. I buy more of the Pellon products then fabric though. Can't beat the prices anywhere else at 1 am.

In my neck of the "Chicago Land" woods no fabric at either of my closest Walmart. They remodeled about 2 years ago and took every morsel out ... and the limited other supplies has been shrinking as well.

Lori - they took ours out when they remodeled 2 years ago, but about six months ago they brought it back and better! There's hope for yours too.

Sounds to me like most all of the Walmarts are getting more fabric-and I think it's also a little better quality!

sadly ours brought back the fabric, and have now increased that section, but the fabric is so crappy it is not good for anything more than kids costumes...really sad

The $8.99 a yard cotton fabric is very nice. Also David's Textile fabric is quilt shop quality, as most of the quilt shops here carry it. I can buy fabric online cheaper then Walmart but the Pellon and muslin prices are great.
