Quilting in NYC
Hi I'm a mostly self-taught crafter and knitting instructor and recently took a quilting class that I really loved. My mom has machine quilted off and on most of my life but she never taught me anything about sewing. She did buy me my first sewing machine, though, when I was 26 years old. I live in NYC with my husband and cat and work in Staten Island as a Social Worker in the family court. I love needlework of all types and get a lot of stress release from creating things.

Welcome to Quilt board from North Carolina. I live with my husband and three four-legged kids. I am in accounting for a property management company for affordable housing. I have always had a crafty bone in my body and if I want to learn I youtube it and learn. I have always loved cross stitch but long hours at work don't help. And its summer time which means yard work.

Welcome from New Jersey, you'll find lots of people to talk to about quilting and anything that's on your mind. Been living here 56+ years but still miss NYC as I grew up in Brooklyn and worked in the city. How's the weather there? Was supposed to meet a friend for dinner at Patsy's but she said it's too hot to walk around the city so we're waiting for a cold front to come in. May in Jersey
