    Beautiful quilt! Love your sashing and your borders. Great color combo, too. I remember how it feels to finish that first one. Congrats!

    OMG you certainly have something to be proud of.. i kept my very first quilt i finished and loved it too.. it was a railfence pattern very easy and fun.... i am sure your neice will be pleased with this one it is gorgeous

    I have found the new quilter does better if they quilt on the bias. This one could be done that way quilting from corner to corner in the blocks. 1/4" from the edge is pretty easy if you have a walking foot.
