OK, I'll bite. Just remember this is a "working space.

At the doorway of the sewing room.

Counter clockwise is my 401A

Under the 401A lives my 15-90 clone and my 99K crank

To the left of the 401A is my White treadle

To the left of Ms. White is my little 99k in her cabinet.

Off to the left of her is my 201

Oops 201

and Heidi. She's going to have to move one of these days.

And Trouble my FW who sits on top of anyone that is closed.

My cutting table that doubles for a sewing table for my portables.

And last but not least my one and only sewing stool the moves around the room with me from machine to machine.

I like your cutting table, is it a small dining table? I've been using the fold-up 2x4 "project" table (not as pretty). Your 4-legged assistants look very helpful!

My son actually rescued this table from his friend's dad's garage. They were going to throw it away. He brought it home and refinished it for me. The sides slide out and it can actually hold a king size sandwich. Sometimes kids are ok.

Default "Display" Pics of some of my Vintage Girls

I am constantly re-arranging my sewing machine to take advantage of lack of space. I would love to have an extra room just for sewing but I gave that up when my I brought my mother here to live with us 10 years ago. Small space equals some clutter.

Pic 1 is my loft sewing space with the Singer 101 and my modern Elna 7300. Poor Ellie Elna is not getting much use and I think is getting a little jealous of the older girls.

Pic 2 is the Wheeler & Wilson No. 8 residing next to the pickling crock and TV

Pics 3 & 4 are the machines and cabinets in my mother's downstairs bedroom, 2 Singer Treadles, an empty Zenith cabinet, the Davis VF and the Singer portables. The treadle tops make nice resting places for the White Rotarys that are WIPs.

Pics 5, 6 & 7 are of my machines and sewing space in the garage (I claimed that space last summer, long story). Yes, if you look closely you can see the HQ Sweet 16 all covered up along with the 201 that I use for piecing. In the back you can see the awesome black Sewmor. On the side are more WIP machines in cabinets.

This is not all folks but I am overwhelming myself with all of this display creativeness. More pics will follow once I recover. Yes, more coming later.

Oh my goodness Caroline - great pictures of really cool machines! That's desperation to have taken over the garage, for sure. Do you work out there in all weather? LOVE your little blue & yellow log cabin quilt!

I am just in the middle of totally redesigning my studio and will post pics when I am finished - moving furniture out today to paint and everything is in piles upon piles. a slow process sorting through years of "crap"
I am hoping to make room for a few more of my machines and maybe finally bring home my great grandmothers Singer VS2 fiddlebase treadle to work on.

...just a suggestion to the multiple featherweight owners - a woman that works with my hubby at the antique mall found one at a country sale for $10 a few years ago - she doesn't even know how to thread it, let alone sew with it....she thought it was cute and uses it as a night light on the bookcase in her hallway....so if you have extras or need a couple of night lights might be a reason to go shopping :-)

I am looking for another FW myself for my daughter to take overseas - she has been posted to the Canadian consulate in Islamabad Pakistan (((sigh))) and wants something light to ship in her sealift.

Love seeing everyones picsi

Joann
