humbird - I agree with you. This quilt has a very peaceful calm to it. Being new to quilting at the time, I had also planned to make the borders white, until my sister-in-law pointed out that I would lose the outside flowers if I did that. She suggested the green, saying it would represent grass. I'm glad I took her advice! I'm so happy with it! Burchquilts - Thank you, I truly appreciate the compliment.

I'll be selling my house soon and may not have access to a sewing area for awhile, so will probably start another EPP project. I'm actually looking forward to it.

I am doing a table topper with the EPP method and I took a sheet of templates to Office Max and they photo copied them on card stock for .17 cents a copy & I just had to cut them out.

Funny because yesterday all I did was cut hexagons. I'm cheap and yes I have the hexagon go template but it doesn't have the 4" hexagon. so i went into word and made them from the shapes and I'm cutting by hand. I didn't want to waste fabric because I'm using charm squares, I wanted to use as much as possible of the fabric. I love it because I need a had project to carry around!

Where does one buy the hexagon paper pieces? Rather buy, then cut out. Also what size hexagon is your favorite for hand sewing?

Also, does one just leave in the paper? Have seen tutorials, but they never say.

I just checked their site and they are sold out of the smaller size. I will check back soon to see when they are back in stock.

You can get them from Paper Pieces. They have all sizes. They even have blank sheets for download so you can color in where you want what color, etc. plan your flowers & how many rings you want. www.paperpieces.com

This is where I purchased my original set and they are a very nice weight, not flimsy and not too heavy.

What's standard size hexagons that most people use? Thinking 1 1/2" or 2" ? And what size squares does one use for each size hexagon?
