It does look odd, now that you pointed it out! I am wondering if they thought they could show off the pattern in the quilt better if it showed the corners? I think it would be pretty easy to draft...I would piece the strips together then hand or machine applique (can you tell I try to avoid curved piecing at all costs?? lol

ps..oops..just looked at the picture again an realized they are ALL curved pieces! lolol

    What an interesting design!

I think I would draw my own clamshell templates, piece them, then turn the edges under with an iron and starch and applique them to a wholecloth top, with similar embroidery motifs.

Then I'd do some really spectacular quilting on all that white space. What a canvas for quilting designs! Woohoo!

Laying out the design on the quilt top would be the most challenging part for me - trying to get everything centered and perfectly spaced. A t-square and a yardstick compass could come in handy on a job like this.

Looks like the large "clamshell" pattern made into this pattern.

They are not very likely to share the pattern details, imho. Does anyone else find it odd that they promote the quilt on the wrong size bed?
    I noticed that right away!!

What an amazing quilt. Makes me wish I had that pattern to reconsider the one I just picked for my bed. I will be watching as I hope someone knows it before I dive into the one I am planning.

Is the picture you took of the entire top? The one posted is the company's pic. Would love to see the whole pattern.

Very pretty quilt indeed. It seems like it would be possible to draw out your own version of this pattern (with a bit of determination, some graph paper and a lot of freezer paper!)
