A friend came over today and she was so excited about this RR she started planning MY first row for me. Changed my theme and all. Now, my theme is called Cat's Meow Sampler. Each row will contain some sampler blocks and some silhouette/appliqued/whatever cats. I'm providing 12 1/2" sashing between each block, so the actual finished row will be 68, not 60 1/2. We'll see how that works. Barbara was so excited, I let her carry me away!! Sounds like she'll have fun with this as well!

think- country colors, checks, stripes, small prints, calicoes, salt box homes, quilts on laundry lines, chickens, trees, pineapples, sheep, stars, hearts, patriotic, flag, baskets, vegetable gardens, sunflowers, traditional quilt blocks and crows.
What do you think? Do able?

I might change mine. I have been collecting hankerchiefs and I want to make a butterfly quilt out of them. I could send hankies along and each person could make a butterfly block or they could put in their hankies. What do you all think of this idea?

I have chose a puppies/dogs theme. I do have a blue chinese sharpei 3 month puppy named, Bing -Bing,and a 12 yr old chinese sharpei,named Ming. I had a chihuahua for 20 years named Cupcake. I love all dogs. So all dog fabrics, scottie dog patterns, dog patterns, dog houses, and everything to do with dogs! I have a collection of doggy fabrics, so I can send a few extra scraps of doggy fabrics along with my starter row, and be passed to each person in my group to use if they want. and send the scrap bag along to the next person that will be doing the next row . I will begin my starter row soon. I am looking forward to this swap.
