Great quilt!!! And I can't see any error.... My latest "scrappy" had started as a similar idea and when I layed it out to see how it looks with plain material in between the rows I didn't like it but now I see that your idea of putting a frame around it is very good, so I will be going that way next lot I'm making. Ahhhh... I see it now...different width...but I would leave it, it looks good and if someone notices, just say it was menat to be
