Three more quilts bound! It's almost dinner time now. So I think I'll leave the last quilt (it's a lap size, so much bigger than the others) and head down to finish my quilting on the next 2 quilties. Maybe I can get them done too - my goal is to take all the finished quilts to guild on Wednesday for donation to the children's hospital.

Default In Progress, Return To Orca Bay

Final rows sewn and one border on. Three borders to go. Hooray! I participated in Bonnie Hunter's Orca Bay Mystery Quilt last year. I two totes of reds and blues and one of black. I have been saving my used dryer sheets for for foundation piecing this quilt top. Now on to border two.

Your quilts are beautiful. What is the name of the pattern of your last one? I love the modern look.

Thanks! The last one is my own design - designed as I went in fact. I have been playing with transparency and wanted to see what I could do. So I just took strips of fabric and laid them across the background, adding the appropriate colours for transparency at all the crosses.

Almost 3 pm here & have just finished adding the sashings & cornerstones. Need to get busy with dinner as company coming but still may have time to figure out my borders. I will be binding it in the blue flower of the cornerstone & already have my ideas "brewing". Thanks for hosting this VQD as I may have given up a time or two. Sorry for the weird angle on the picture, no place else to lay it out as it is pouring out on the deck.

I see that carolaug is making a Dr. Suess quilt top for her 27 year old so. Here's my Snoopy quilt for my 42 year old daughter. I finished it today. Had a wonderful day sewing with all of you, let's do it again.
