Display shelves for vintage machines?

Some time ago, a board member had posted pictures of her sewing machines sitting on wall-mounted shelves, and there were hooks(?) on the bottom of the shelves to hang the handles of the tops on. Wish I could find that thread again.

That's what I'd like to do as well, but I don't know what kind of shelves would be strong enough to hold them. I'd worry constantly about getting hit in the head with one of them!

Oh WOW and double WOW !!! You have a DY NO MITE display here, LOL !! Beautiful machines and I LOVE your display.... this is just AWESOME and I am so jealous (ok, yep, I said it) as I have 17 (I think; not sure) old Singers and would LOVE to have something like this !!
