I have it, bought it to do binding on baby bibs/burp cloths...it's sitting on the edge of my embroidery machine stand...Not very good on curves....and these are gentle curves.
Buy a couple yards of fabric instead....that's my reccomendation

It's good to get the feedback. I have also used the glue method and stitched it down with decent results. The trick there is to be sure to have enough binding width to have enough overlap to catch the fabric in the stitching.

I have the entire zip bind system from Martelli and it is in a box in one of my sewing machine cabinets.

I really like doing my bindings by hand, wouldn't buy one.

I've never seen the foot before. Doesn't sound like it is a very popular item after reading the comments. I think I'll pass. Ya'll have already saved me some money this morning.

I purchased the Zip Bind system in 2005 at the sewing expo. I watched the DVD and tried it. Couldn't get it to work and marked it up as an expensive loss.

This year my goal was to learn at least some of my fancy gadgets that were collecting dust. There is a video on the Martelli website (manufacturer) that is wonderful. (DVD no longer works on new operating system.) I watched it twice and went to work. With a little practice I was able to do 8 placemats in less than an hour! Yea! Perfect miters.

Be prepared for a learning curve, but worth the time & money. Go for it.
