I think Jenny at Missouri Star Quilt Co. did a French Braid like quilt tutorial on YouTube. I think it uses the half hexagon ruler?

I also recommend you get a book. These quilts are easy but there are some tricks in sewing them together. I made one in Oct. @ a sewing retreat and finished the top in two days.

I made a table runner that I didn't know was a french braid. Was looking for the pattern because I remember it was free. Found it on quilt bus. I am teaching my granddaughter how to sew and this is going to be her project.

You are so right! I will have to live for a couple more centuries to get all my list done and that is if I don't add anything else!

Here are two of Jenny Doan's. In my opinion, no one does it like Jenny:

Wow, thanks for posing the question about French braid quilts and thanks to all of the recommendations. I am planning to make a French braid quilt for each of my long, narrow windows by my front door. Guess I will have to get one of Jane Hardy Miller's books.
