Default Boye Shuttle, bobbin and needle chart

A forum member asked my help to figure out if her machine had the right shuttle and bobbin in it. Not having a clue I did a search and for the first time found what I was looking for.

So I'll post it for all who might not have this info and I suggest you copy it to a Word file, or Notepad, or something on your hard drive as this is just about all that's left of the site. Nothing else works.

I compared what this chart said to the notes I'd taken for my 8 shuttle machines and they match up. So I saved and filed the info for reference.

If anyone has a new link to this chart I would really appreciate it. The link shown above is no longer available. I recently purchased a Boye Shuttle and Needle Display Case and found several bobbins in it. I would love to be able to match them up with the correct shuttle.
I also have several vintage machines that use the shuttles and bobbins and would like to make sure that the correct bobbins are in the shuttles.
Thank you, everyone.

Welcome, Linda.

I'm not sure which chart that was referred to that is no longer available. There are several on this board that are more knowledgeable and may be better able to help. If you have specific ones that need to be identified, I would suggest posting pictures and possibly with dimensions.

In the mean time, I would suggest possibly checking out a few links that I have found helpful in the past. Some are specific to Boye and some have images to help identify rather than just numbers.

Try to PM (private message) J. Miller. He no longer posts here, but he may still get messages. He said in the post that the site was disappearing. He said he saved the information, though. He might share with you.
