My December Forecast...

HECK NO. My husb. was born & raised in northern Maine so I'm happy with the west coast. Guess they've had a lot of rain in Wash. lately & they're tired of it already. Yep, Ariz. works for me in the winter. Now summer in Ariz. is another issue since it reaches 120+ degrees in the summer. Then I burn up the highway getting back to beaut. green Wash. state.
WA is beautiful but I just don't like the winters anymore as I grow older (born and lived in WA my whole 65 years til the winters now in AZ). The Hood Canal area is beautiful. We had friends there and the guys went scuba diving many years ago in the canal.

I'd be so happy if these were our normal temps in the winter time. I hate the cold and since I have to go out an go to work I don't want the snow either. I can drive an hour or two in most directions from where I'm at if I want to see snow, then come home to none. I like that idea. If I can stay in the house that is warm and not go out, the snow is fine. Since I don't have a warm home and I have to go out; no snow is my wish. At least not a lot of snow; I just remembered that I'm off on Christmas this yr and if we do get alot I won't be able to go to work the day after. That would work.

I live in the NE and I hate snow.
It 's pretty for about three seconds and if you blink you missed it. All the songs and pictures in the world can't make me like the stuff. I think that over the millenia the general public has been duped into beliving snow is nice and pretty and soft and blah blah blah. After the first oh! how pretty! comes the truth, if I don't have to be in it, shovel it, drive in it, scrape it off the cars, soggy boots and cloths.
So I really don't think the positives outweight the negatives except in one important area. The ground needs the water from snow to replenish the aquifers that hold all the drinking water we use.
That's that in a nut shell. Sorry for the rant but I needed to clear the air about how much every body really likes snow.
I hope you get your wish for a white christmas and you can enjoy it in AZ.
peace

Oh Linda, I know just now you feel. My son asked me recently if I ever consider selling here & staying home yr. round. I said "ARE YOU NUTS"? As long as I can make the 3 day drive, I'm here.
Whereabouts do you live there? I'm on a sm. lake on the southern most tip of Kitsap Peninsula. We may get rain but at least it isn't snow. When it does snow, it never lasts longer than a few days.
Guess it started sunny there this morn. but was raining buckets when I called him. Yes, that is why Wash. is so beaut. & green but as long as Ariz. stays warm, I'm here.
Believe it or not, we have seen snow in the hills here but that's very unusual. I used to say "Stop that. That isn't what I paid for". LOL
I guess I should invite all of you to visit me here in warm Ariz. for awhile. Ha.

I know what you mean about 120 degrees! We were down here for a "clean and repair" trip on the condo in Aug and for the first time I experienced 120 degrees--not fun! Then the AC went out so had to have that quickly replaced. All is okay now and I'm enjoying my time here even tho I leave this Wed for WA for the month of Dec.
