QuiltE,

I have the book but not made one her way. She does NOT stabilize and I have always stabilized. I like the free spirit of her design versus the sashing types. I had hoped to make one her way this week while I'm on vacation. If I do, I'll let you know.

Thanks, LuvQuiltin ... please do let me know when you take the step. I've been gathering T-Shirts at the thrift shops to try it out, before I work with the "real" ones. However, I have vowed that some PhDs must get done before I start anything new.

Until you know how many t-shirts are involved and how big the 'picture' is. What size would he like his quilt? Or even when the brother gets around to send them to you. I would not worry to much.

But on the other hand, it is always nice to be prepared.
Thanks for the ideas but I am pretty sure this is going to happen. We are close and he is the one who brought it up. I have looked at the quilts with and without sashing and I think sashing. These are all t-shirts from one race car driver so I don't think there will be a lot of different designs. There is a lot to work with - he tells me there is about 60. THey should be in good shape because he does not wear them - just momentos
