Wow! You've picked out one heck of a project, and it's going to be beautiful. I don't have the courage to tackle a pineapple, and this one takes my breath away!

My hat's off to you. It's going to be VERY pretty. Please share pictures along the way, and the finished project.

I have been reading all the comments and they make me smile. Listen to me ladies, you can all do this quilt if you have the desire and I will be showing how simple it is really. Anything can be learned, I tell that to my students. All that is needed is patience and desire. You will see as we go along. I will be doing a block right now. I have given the babies a bath (puppies) and I have no where else to go, so I am ready, see you in a few. I don't know how long one block will take as the fabric placement has to be just so lol. I would say about 2 hours or so, there are 38 pieces in one block and the block is huge and I have to cut the strips yet.....

A fairly large undertaking, you have there. I've made a PP pineapple block that was 4" sq., each of those took about 20 min. to piece. If you just break it up into sections, that takes a lot of the OMG out of it. I love the colors you've chosen. As others have said, please post pictures of your progress.

I had to go help a friend today with her new kindle so all I got done was the freezer paper pattern lol....
I've ordered freezer paper in pkgs, ready to go thru your printer from www.cjenkinscompany.com. Depending on how many seams you've got, I can usually get 6 -8 uses from one freezer paper piece. I wouldn't want to be sewing thru paper and then have to pick it all out. I only PP w/ freezer paper now.

Oh my, you seem to have organized your fabrics well, but without some direction it is a huge venture. I trust you will keep every step written down.. It also looks like a year long project..keep us online of your progress..

I am impressed that anyone would attempt a quilt of that difficulty---I'll be even more impressed when you post pictures of the finished quilt Best of luck to you on this huge undertaking.
