LOVE your blocks -- never thought of using florals, but I'm definitely going to now. What size strips did you use? I'm guessing 1.5 inch, but can't tell.....

The initial center square is cut at 2 1/2 inches and the remaining strips at 1 1/2 inches. I just kept adding strips until I got to a size that works for a queen size quilt without having to add much in the way of borders. My sister asked that I only add a narrow solid color border, so I may add another round to each block before I'm done.

Thanks Annie. Believe it or not, I shop the remnant bins and garage sales, etc in search of fabric, so ALL of the fabrics for this quilt came from those sources! I too love the white on white's, and they were fun to use in this quilt. They sure help the bright florals stand up and take notice! lol

I can also see why people become addicted to log cabins, and believe it has something to do with all the remaining strip ends. Now really, we MUST do SOMETHING with them, but what? Ahhh...another log cabin quilt! lol Predictable, but no matter what other fabrics you might add to all those strip ends, the log cabin turns out beautiful over and over again! =)
