You did a fantastic job! I can see why you don't want to give it up. An excellent example of how quilting makes the quilt. I'd never know it's a cheater.

Thanks for your comment! I'm excited for her to see in person, all her facebook friends want to see it too! We bought it at JoAnn Fabrics years ago, maybe 10! It's an odd size, so I'm thinking it was a remnant or end of bolt.

I like how chickadeee55 described it, "a canvas for you to create on". I'm a big fan of cheater cloth and panels, use them for quick gifts etc., but I've never seen anything like this and it took a good long look to realize it's just one piece of fabric. Your quilting is absolutely spectacular. Do you have any idea where it came from or why it was in her closet? Left there by someone who lived there before? You've created a treasure, would love to know more about it.
