    I like the 9 patches too. I'm also bad with directions. I can do better on my own.

    its not easy being a quilter some days .. LOL EllieGirl: I am a 9 patch person; I have a stack of them waiting for me once I get done with my 10 minute block quilts. I love the material, where did you get it ? Thanks for sharing !!

    I like Sheepsheds idea, using both the first and second blocks in a alternate design. I really think the first block is interesting. I also think Debb's idea of quilting wine names in the sashing is a neat idea. Ellie when you complete it be sure and show it to us. That's what is so fun about these threads, such great ideas, and no right or wrong answers.

    I like the nine patch the best. You can also if you have enogh of the gold fabric do 10 min block with golden diamond in the middle on point. This way you might get scrappy effect but classy looking quilt.
