I like the fabric in b but think a will pop (as they say) yor star better. But that's just me

I love option B. However if you choose the beige then you could use the circle fabric for the border.

I like the first option. Option B seems too busy or active for me. But... in the end it is your choice. You have the vision for the finished quilt and I do not.

I love the whimsy of the multicolored "bubbles" but my eyes go there first. In the plainer beige option, my eyes go to your gorgeous piecing first, which IMHO is where the attention should be focused.

I like busy, so number 2 is my choice! It makes the whole quilt light, airy, and FUN!

I like option B. The first one does make the star stand out more, but it isn't as interesting to look at. It would also depend on what other fabrics are going to be used in the quilt.

My thoughts exactly! I think the top beige fabric allows the sharpness of your piecing to really shine through.
