Default Need Advice on border for Crystal Star Pattern

Hello, just finished the main body of the Crystal Star by Jinny Beyer and am now ready to choose my border. I'd changed the little pale pinstripe to a fabric I already had and will be using in the quilt for the bed in the spare room. This wallhanging will be above the bed looking down. This border I have next to it will be used hopefully for the quilt too. I don't want to take away from the colors in this wallhanging but I'd like to be able to use what I already have too. What do you all think of this border for this project? Thanks for your suggestions and advice. This was my 1st paper piecing project ever and though I made mistakes I'm still pretty happy with how it came out.

I love the star. My eye draws to the border when I look at the picture. If it was mine, I would want the eye to be drawn to the star. I wouldn't put a border. But that's just me. It is very nice!

I too am using my stash up when possible. your pieced work is gorgeous. I doubt very much that the lovely border fabric can take away from it. I'd say go ahead. it will be a wonderful addition to the bedroom. Great work!!!

I love the border - it highlights the gorgeous colors used in the star. I think it would be beautiful on the quilt.

Your center is beautiful! I think I would add the spiky teeth border with the teeth in the colours of the center on the black background. It is your quilt so do what you like best.

I love the floral border....the difference between the geometic figures of the star and then the round , playful forms of the flowers is so beautiful.
And it has some of the same colours in it that the star has to.........

Personally I think the border almost clashes with the center. I don't think I'd put any border at all on it and just bind it with the background color. Using the border fabric on a quilt that will be in the same room as this wall hanging would work though.
